- Power, gas and carbon reduction emission trading and management from DTE Energy Trading
Methane is released from coal and surrounding rock during and after mining activities. Most coal mine methane is vented to the atmosphere, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions.
Instead, this gas can be safely gathered, sold and used for:
- Electric Power Generation
- Production and delivery of high –Btu pipeline quality natural gas
- Production and delivery of medium-Btu Industrial natural gas
- Carbon Offset Sales from Methane Destruction
